Is Marcus a scientist? does he understand quantum physics principles, so that his positions would be from a different point of view?

I completely understand what you are saying and I can even understand the benefit of this thought exercise. I am wondering though, if you understand the principles of quantum physics that you mention as the basis for not being able to know for certain where any object is exactly and since you don't know where the space is that anybody occupies we then cannot know whether its real?

it is really hard to pinpoint exactly where an atom's electron is at any given split second (like a coordinate for an exact location in it's orbit;most electrons have well known orbits) It is also true that there are times when an electron is unaccounted for. When it moves to a different orbital path we cannot track it's jump. Only that the electron disappears from one path and an electron appears in the predicted new path.

We can't say for sure it is the same electron.

for all we know there actually could be a heavenly kingdom of electrons waiting to be born. Existing as spirit electrons that we are oblivious0 to them all sitting there behind a veil. We cannot say for sure that the electron that we think is jumping orbits didn't actually just die and go to either heaven or hell. Because technically, the entire electron and it it's charge does go unaccounted for and there is no way to prove that new one is the same as the old one that disappeared.

We can't mark an electron like stolen cash to make sure it's the same dollar bill when it show up. We can't mark a card in a deck to track the Ace, King, Queen or Jack. It is NOT that we do not know the exact positions in space and time of object that visible to the naked eye. We can very accurately and precisely predict 100% of the time that a six foot tall man will bump his head if he does not duck slightly to enter a 5 foot eleven doorway.

and even at the molecular level we do actually know what is real and what is not and through calculus and known limits that something gets infinitely closer to, we do know it's location. Heck, even the atom we are aware of the electrons path and we know it accurately enough so that we can take a a single atom which is so unbelievably small it exists in a practically planar state. But by knowing all the paths the electrons is zooming around we can assign it a three dimensional orb or globe shape so that we know exact how two atoms of hydrogen will position themselves next to one atom of oxygen and we know what size hole the moelcule can fit through and whether or not it will make it through said hole or not by the path the molecule is on and whether is is aligned correctly or not to pass through the hole (even though we can't say for sure where the electron is while it passes through said hole.

I like you theory and the progression of thought this exercise led our minds. But it may get more people to follow your train of thought if you left out the part about quantum physics being a reason to necessitate your thinking.

At least if there are any quantum mechanic physicists within ear shot.

And maybe the meditation would be even more successful if physics didn't make the meditation mandatory and people were free to just think those thoughts without the assertions that physics makes it true.

because physics actually detracts from the situation you describe. It proves the opposite, that one cannot witness nor do anything ever if you force yourself to not accept reality on order to simply meditate with an alternate theory , but none-the-less one which is not happening in reality.

and that is the beauty of our imagination and our minds, we are able to go to places in our minds which don't exist while our body and every atom with orbiting electron physical exists right her, right now, in a known and witnessible physical location at a specific time.

you are extremely lucky that you are gifted with the craft of writing, poetry and other creative art and can still understand quantum physics.

for most people it is one or the other. And I think Siddha Buddha really nailed this one in that one has to be extremely careful when explaining a known mechanism or process of the natural world that science has delivered the understanding of because when explain in laymens terms the words often become false

Nice. We must always be careful before assuming we have understood what science is reporting back to the layman. Sometimes the metaphysics behind the attempts to understand the results of experiment is mixed up with bad philosophy. There really is a philosophy behind science, and the way the world is described to us from the results of experiment is often much more difficult to explain than it is to make happen in experiment.
