Why is Kuldeep M Pai's music and Sooryagayathri's singing so pleasing to our ears?

" The highest goal of music is to connect one's soul to their Divine Nature" - Pythagoras (569- 475 BC)

Kuldeep M pai is one of the few Music Legends who have really understood the way to produce Devotional Music Albums in Indian Languages which are highly pleasing to ears and soothing to the soul. The reasons may be like this:

1) Kuldeep M pai gives much emphasis to the Song and the Raga and not for the Musical Instruments alone. Many times use of Excessive Instruments steal away the prominence of the song and Raga. If we hear his songs we may notice that he has never used Instruments excessively. Not many devotional music composers follow this. They use excessive Instruments and spoil the songs.

2) Most of the Indian Traditional Music lay emphasis to Raga, the Highs and Lows, pattern of song's flows, stretching the notes at required places, so that the Songs are more pleasing to the ears and gets recorded in our memory. This is the beauty of Indian Traditional Music where emphasis is more on melody. Kuldeep M pai has clearly understood the importance of the necessity of melody in songs which makes his songs exceptionally brilliant. His music glitters like a jewel in the crown even among all the Indian Devotional Music.

3) Solo songs are always more melodious and easy to catch our liking rather than chorus songs. In solo songs Sangatis, the Highs and Lows are always clearly noticed than Chorus songs. Many devotional songs generally made are of chorus nature. Most of Kuldeep M pai songs are solo in nature which are highly pleasing to hear.

4) Kuldeep M pai's main singer Sooryagayathri (10-11 year old) is exceptionally talented and the clarity in her voice is exceptionally wonderful to hear. There may not be a single person who is not carried away by Sooryagayathri's voice and her clarity in pronunciation, flow of Raga etc. Sooryagayathri is the greatest discovery of Kuldeep M pai.

5) None of Kuldeep M pai's songs give a tiresome feeling even after continuous hearing for a long time due to his emphasis on melody of the song. More so, he use only young children to sing in his albums which is highly melodious to hear.

6) Kuldeep M pai's recordings are exceptionally high quality in nature. Technically he is perfect in the Music recording and no big flaws can be found in the Technical side.

7) Kuldeep M pai's has carved out a separate brand for him through a unique Brand Kuldeep M Pai style of songs. There is a niche segment of fans and listeners to his songs.

8) Kuldeep M pai gives importance to only Indian Music Instruments like Mridangam, Tabla, Harmonium, Flute, Veena etc and give least importance to western music instruments like Drums, Guitar etc. No Jarring or Rocking instruments are used by him. Indian Musical Instruments are always more pleasing for our ears than western Music instruments.

9) Kuldeep's songs are always pleasing and extremely soothing to our souls. His Music unleash the Bliss that deeply reside in everyone of us.

10) Kuldeep seems to be a Vedantist and a True Spiritualist. Kuldeep's music is so simple yet very perfect to the core. This is the main reason for the Greatness of Kuleddep M pai and Sooryagayathri songs.

Dedicated to the melody - Sooryagayathri

On YouTube, she is nothing short of a sensation. Search for Sooryagayathri and you come across a flawless rendering of a Ganesha bhajan, not one swara or syllable out of place. A figure in seven digits on the bottom right of the screen denotes the number of views the video had earned for the rendition by the little genius. A sixth grader from Kozhikode district in Kerala, the 11-year-old was even younger when accolades came her way for singing devotional songs and albums. It was in 2015 that she first shot to fame through the devotional albums of Kuldeep M. Pai. Her latest, Vishnu Sahasranamam recorded in January, has already garnered over two lakh views.
