Law of simplicity
In physics, if you want to come up with a theory, there's a simple measure to know how well you're on your way. Physicists have come up with a lot of theories and are always looking for new ones. When a physicist is trying to invent a theory, he/she is looking for a description that accounts for all his experiments. He/she will try out different ideas that fit with the experiment. The way to know how well he/she is doing, is: the more simple the theory is, the better.
For example, some physics: velocity equals distance over time
Now, why am I bothering you with all this on a non-duality forum? I want to compare this to non-dual pointers. For example: consciousness is. The pointer also works because it is simple, just like in physics.
I want to go one step further. In physics, the velocity theory only works in a certain 'domain'. When you approach light speed, it's not true anymore. Likewise, a non-dual pointer only works in a certain (sub)culture, language, a certain point in history, a certain state of consciousness even. (all of this we could call domain)
Anyway, maybe this will look like nonsense.. Am I on to something or is this just my scientific mind going wild? Let me know what your insight is.

I believe to many it must be obvious that every description applies only in a limited context. It is great to put this onto the table and look at it. And so true, the level simplicity and all-inclusiveness is always the power of that description.
If you look at the global effect (or non-effect) of non-duality pointing, you might conclude that its context is very narrow indeed. We must be just at the baby steps of this understanding, which is very exciting. It was so clear in the last US presidential election, that the older generation had nothing left to give. It was time for them to step down and let a younger point of view talk. Maybe the same is true with Advaita. I have always been very fascinated by the youngest of non-dual presenters, and given them everything that I had to offer, to let their message be known.
What is the value in a story? Whether you call it history, tradition, the Truth, or merely a pointing toward the truth, if it sets up some straw man that is grasped for, it is useless, and even damaging. A true pointing graphically demonstrates that there is nothing to do and nothing to stop doing to see. There is no where to go and no where not to go. Every possible effort and every illusion of no-effort is counterproductive to see what is here. Every possible effort will only show you what is there, in your mind of more projected 'reality'.

It's interesting to acknowledge the context. I've been thinking lately that the way I or anyone else expresses non-duality is influenced big time by: their upbringing, their teachters etc. All these things influence the way one expresses. So it's understandable there are so many contradictory expressions on non-duality.
Maybe one of these baby steps is just to recognize that someones take on this is just someones take on this. Whether it's a 'teacher' or a 'student' is irrelevant to this.
So how to express this in a way that's not in absolutes, and still be passionate, or maybe even forceful?
Here is not possible without there. The realization of 'here' is the end of seeking, but the true beginning of acting, getting involved, engagement, order and all together integration.
As soon as we are truly "here", we are empowered to think and create. It must be human nature? ;) Let us whistle a tune of non-compliance and get to work. Integration.
Non-duality will never excuse us from our ability to account for our creation.
Absolutely right. Wisdompoint subsumizes this under 'Area of PRINCIPLE'. Especially your presentation of 'domain' is spot on.
That is exactly the point of non-duality. Every approach falls under certain criteria that are dual and relative in nature. How we define these criteria and agree on them is the 'Doctrine of Non-Duality'. Not accepting that is Non-Dualism. Non-Dualism is dogmatic Non-duality.
Dogmatic non-duality can still bring about realization as therapeia. But if it does not even achieve that - then we have the worst case scenario of 'absolutistic claims' of this and that as non-duality.
