The Value of Travel
Last year I went to India about this time, and some of the people that I met there are about to head back or planning to go shortly.
I am in a phase where I don't even want to make a plan more than 60 days in advance. I prefer to leave a hole, where the opportunity of the moment can "fall in". Florian asked me to travel with him for all or part of his USA tour. Of course I'll be here in Chicago with him, and plan to accompany him in CA. Then instead of going back to Toronto, I thought to stay in CA for the rest of the month. This is a big hole.
Who's jumped in so far, Marlies Cocheret, maybe Mokie and Paul Hedderman. I'll see Kenny Johnson for sure. We are going to Ashland, (do you think Gangaji will have a moment to say hello)? Well, I'll give it a try.
Plans and appointments really close off possibilities. We each have our own capacity for the new, and when we get close to that capacity, we start fixing, fixing our schedules and our "need to do's". Imagine what it would be like to be without any necessity, but still "out in the wind" to the maximum. Then life would really be new at every moment.
What fun and satisfaction it is to go to a gathering, and capture its flavor, and be able to share it with others who couldn't make it this time. I dare say, that I will be getting pretty good at this skill. I can see it growing, in every event that I attend. Any more, if I can't share, video, broadcast, I'm not interested in going anywhere.
There is a tremendous love that generates meeting more and more people, and "level of sincerity" grows with every contact.
Thanks for being in my life.
