Rushing to Gather
In subtle and not so subtle ways a lot of people are rushing to gather info, gather spiritual experiences, gather spiritual knowledge in the hope of getting insights to arrive faster to this ‘final spiritual place’. Is that really what it is about? I have found that we need to come to a total disillusionment and disappointment with life. Nothing on the outside can give ‘it’ to us, no teacher, no partner, no job, no nothing!
The spiritual path is very simple, not always that easy! We need to stop and ask ourselves what is already still what is not touched by our minds? We need to stop and have the courage to listen to the voice of Spirit and not to the voice of our small minds. How do we do that?
Relaxation is the doorway. Making space and realizing that this Silent Being is always here resting in the midst of us and as us. The more you take time to listen to your within-ness the more your life harmonizes itself and becomes magical. Just imagine putting all your love and adoration into this Silent Being. You’ll find your small mind will fill itself with Big Mind; this Silent Being All of your life becomes whole in front of your eyes. It may take some time before you can let go of the human condition. Sooner or later it will happen.
I hope this writing today will give you a little more insight how there is nothing to be found outside yourself. I can’t say it enough especially in these times of obsession with TV, computer, iPhone etc. Have the courage to stop, relax, be still and step into yourself, not out, step in and be a lamp onto yourself as the Buddha spoke about so beautifully.
Last month I led a few women’s retreats. Again it is clear how slowing down and coming to a halt ‘a being still’ invites this Silent Being that we are to the forefront. Dropping in more deeply into a level of stillness brings quite naturally tenderness and vulnerability to the forefront and a deep love and compassion for oneself, each other and this moment.
All the women realized Stillness brings the true taste of life and one becomes organically very sensual what your Silent Being is, I call this ‘Still Sensuality’. You don’t have to announce it to the world. It is a sweet and constant experience of life a forever companion. So, be still, relax and taste the delight and the sacred tremor of this moment. Something is always quite naturally still and moving at the same time.
Here we have spring with its incredible fragrances, sights and tastes. I walk often to my work here in SC and are stopped so many times by these different fragrances and sights. Everything can be felt so extremely intimately. You can choose how you wish to live. Slowing down and noticing how life and love is available to you all the time. You come to realize the body as the emanating form of consciousness. By keeping your mind free and clear the body can only be the purity of love and act accordingly.
So, we make the change within. Stop and listen. Reconnecting with cellular memory of Silence in the body that will nourish the body as Consciousness, more Silence will fall in your Life, Body and everywhere. Isn’t that what we all are longing for?
Please come and join me in the exploration of Silence in its many forms, so your life becomes one big fat juicy delicious awake sensual Still Body.
I’ll be offering Co-Ed Satsangs and One Day Retreats in Chico, Ashland and Mountain View in the spring. There will be a Co-Ed Silent Retreat in Chico (is still in the make) in the later spring and another Feminine Sensual Body Retreat in Santa Cruz.
I am looking forward to being with you soon,
Many blessings to you all,
Marlies

I found this very true of today's culture.
