A New Consciousness Ending the Conspiracy of Ineffectiveness part 3
E: If we had a true depiction of where we are today in our world, it would look something like this in a cartoon: You would see a caveman with long tangled hair and a beard and a big club in his hand. He’d have his woman by the hair, and in front of him would be a computer. That’s where we are today.
Questioner: The conspiracy of ineffectiveness?
E: Yes. So we are thousands of years ahead in technology, and as a species we’re still dragging the woman around by the hair with a club in our hand and we’ve got a computer there. Do you see the analogy? That’s our psychological movement – the movement that the caveman was.
Q: How would you get people to see that we’re being ineffective?
E: That’s the difficult thing. You know why. It is because they call Bill Gates and Warren Buffett hugely successful, and that’s proof that our species is working.
Q: Everyone should aspire to be rich...
E: So you have Buffett and Gates along with a whole lot of other people. Not to say that they’re so horrible for having all that money, but look at the folks in Afghanistan. Look at the people in Pakistan and Africa.
Q: The suffering and the poor...
E: Yes, so if you were on the moon over the last few thousand years and you had strong enough binoculars to see our planet, besides the fact that you wouldn’t ever consider coming to this planet because of all the wars and all the killing of one another, you’d also see all that inequity. You’d see people living in mansions, and just living in superfluous magnificence and others dropping dead daily from starvation. What would you say if you were looking down from the moon and seeing all of that, the wars and the starvation and the one guy with all of the wealth not even paying attention to all the people dying?
Q: But you’re going to have people saying “Look, Bill Gates and Hilary and Bill and Warren, they’re helping these people. They’re giving their money to them and they’re buying them computers and shipping food to these poor countries and we’re giving them aid.”
E: AIDS is what we’re giving them.
Q: Aid.
E: I know. And that’s more proof of the ineffectiveness of ourselves, isn’t it? Rather than removing the violence from ourselves, rather than distributing the wealth in an even manner, rather than bringing forth peace on Earth, we dole out a few dollars to the poor guy. We say, “Here, let me put off your starvation for a few days,” and give them a few dollars.
Q: And a few bags of rice.
E: Yes, and then given their level of maturity, they fight over the rice and kill each other. Or their government seizes their rice and sells it to them; sells it to their poor. That’s where our world is. That’s the conspiracy of ineffectiveness. Our world does not work right now. It doesn’t matter if we’re rich, poor, single, married, little, or old. None of it is working.
I say the only thing every individual on the planet needs to be working towards is their own personal transformation. That’s the only thing that matters. Will we each take on the challenge?
